Our new Events and Client Engagement Manager understands the importance of human interactions in a fully digital industry. They make our customers’ joy their priority! Their job will directly influence many aspects of our way of working, including customer satisfaction, loyalty, customer ambassadorship, brand respect and brand recognition.

These events are where our employees and our clients have the opportunity to interact with our brand and share our love for it. Events play a big part in how we engage with our current and future clients. They are the platform that transfers all our online experiences with clients into the physical world. And you will be this bridge between these two worlds. 

Main areas of responsibility: 

Logistics: Booking flights, accommodation, venues, suppliers, vendors for all our offline activities (travel, events, conferences, company events). You should be a great negotiator to get us the best possible deal. 

Creativity: Brainstorming ideas, coming up with concepts for various types of events, both local in Amsterdam and international. From our internal events: Friday themed drinks in the office and company trips.  To business meetups abroad, conferences; to more massive international events organised by us. You will also be the lead creative force when it comes to ideas about how to surprise our clients with unique gifts for various personal & professional occasions. 

Operational: Making sure the operations around the events are running smoothly; being the go-to person for solving any problems related to events planning and client engagement. You should be able to make meaningful decisions on your feet. You should emulate a positive “can-do” attitude. 

Client Engagement: Together with our sales team you will work on how to keep our clients engaged with our brand and encourage loyalty. This can include bespoke gifting, to developing a loyalty programme, meet-ups and events. 

Within this aspect of the role you will also cover areas such as collecting customer feedback, building customer profiles, understanding the clients needs inside-out; to designing alongside the Digital Marketing Manager, a support framework that will result in bigger customer satisfaction and boost customer loyalty! This is a relatively new area of this role, so it will be on you to drive and expand this side of the role.

Requirements:

  • Fluent in English (any other language is a plus)
  • Extremely high level of interpersonal skills
  • Skilled in project management
  • Outstanding communications and negotiation skills
  • Fast problem-solving ability
  • Knowledge of the local market and a local network of suppliers is preferred
  • International experience is plus
  • Min. 3 years in a similar role
  • Customer/stakeholder satisfaction oriented
  • Willingness to travel
  • Specific industry knowledge is NOT required
